USANA Biomega Jr now available in Australia and New Zealand

Good Nutrition is the basis of good health today and a healthier tomorrow. And with tomorrows in mind, the health of our children was the focus of a representational talk by Dr Brian Dixon and our very own Geoff Watt.

Dr Brian Dixon and Geoff Watt shared the stage to a maxed out auditorium in Sydney’s Convention and Exhibition Centre during the Asia Pacific Convention in March. The purpose was to proudly introduce a new product to Australia and New Zealand’s range of children’s health and nutrition products: USANA Biomega Jr. Brian, who is Director of Product Innovation at USANA and Geoff, our local marketing guru, began by talking hold the underlying need for good nutrition. Dr Dixon, who manages all the clinical studies conducted at USANA related some background research that suggests that our intake of the omega-3 fats is now much lower compared with different types of fats that come from both animal and plant origin. Brian explained that not all fats are made equal and the omega-3s are special and vital to good health for all of us over every age and at every stage.

‘The good health benefits of omega-3s in adults are already well known adds Dr Dixon, and omega-3 fats come in a number of forms.” The types of long chain omega-3 fats found in fish namely EPA and DHA appear to have the strongest health benefits.

Dr Dixon went on. ‘Omega-3s are a type of fat that is essential for healthy growth and development and functioning of each and every body cell. They play a major role in eye health, leaking mood, concentration and m0re.’

‘Oily fish is an excellent food – it’s the omega-3 fats specifically EPA and DHA that it contains, that make fish oils so beneficial. Unfortunately the body can’t make omega-3s. And getting supplements down can be tricky for both parent and child.’ Geoff agreed saying , We all want the best for our children and making sure they get all the nutrients they need is part of the good care they deserve’

So what did the Research and Development team come up with? USANA Biomega Jr. Brian said, ‘Taste is of key importance to kids so choosing a supplement that is palatable is important. Plus, the supplement you choose needs to have the highest amounts of EPA and DHA.’

At that point. Geoff , who had inconspicuously exited the stage re-entered wearing goggles, snorkel, flippers boardies and all. Yes, it was time to introduce Biomega Jr.

Launched in March last year at the Asia Pacific Convention,  USANA Rev3 Energy Drink is a new age energy drink that’s poles apart from others on the market.
